A Thank You Letter To My BFF

Thank you for always accepting me. From my tomboy stage in elementary school to that stage where I had those awkward bangs in middle school, you’ve always been there for me. Even that stage after high school where I lost myself for a little bit, you were there to help me find my way. From my worst to my best, you have seen it all and have always been my friend anyway.

Thank you for being one of my number one fans. No matter what crazy idea I had, like that time when I truly wanted to be the next Hannah Montana (LOL), you were always cheering me on telling me you knew that I could do it and you still are one of my biggest cheerleaders.

Thank you for loving my family and for letting yours love me. It was your grandma who made the cakes for my graduation party. It was your dad who put us into place when we needed it. It was your mom who was there when we needed advice about anything at all. My parents love you like their second daughter and I know that they always will.

Thank you for all of the incredible memories: girl-scouts, tubing up north, youth cheerleading, birthday sleepovers, vacationing at Myrtle Beach, backing through my mom and dad’s garage door in my new truck, sitting on the balcony late at night, and even ordering food at drive-thrus with helium voices… we have had way too many memories to count.

Thank you for always being there for me, and for always letting me be there for you. From tragic losses to heartbreaks, we have been there for each other through it all and I can never thank you enough for that.

Thank you for being you. You can make anyone laugh, and even in your darkest times, you have searched for the positivity in it all. You are inspiring, you are smart, you are driven, and you are strong. You light up every room you walk into and I admire all of your incredible qualities.

Thank you for being the sister I never had.
